To avoid the confusion seen in some clans, we have decided to institute a series of ranks. Most of these ranks will just symbolize the amount of time that someone has spent in the clan. Only the following have added responsibilities: The Lord, The Lady, The Chancellor, the Dukes/Duchess.
These ranks will only be
vacated if one leaves the clan for any reason. Please pay your respects
when/if you see them. Members are only brought in by the Lord, Lady and
Chancellor.
The Lord & The Lady: These two have the highest responsibility to the clan, except perhaps the Chancellor. They and the Chancellor are in charge of how the clan is run, though they gladly take ideas from other members. Only the Lord and Lady have the ability to promote members of out probation or apprentice status. They are also the only ones that can promote a Duke/Duchess.
The Chancellor: This one post has possibly the highest responsibility within the clan. Whomever holds this post takes all problems within the clan and decides which should be brought before the Lord and Lady for discussions. He/She is also in charge of giving apprentices tutors.
The status of a Duke/Duchess is only achieved through promotion by the
Lord and Lady. A Duke/Duchess has the responsibility to handle any
problems brought
to them. This means that they are to either handle it themselves, if not
too high for their authority, or to bring it to the Chancellor to be brought
before the Lord and Lady for discussion. A Duke/Duchess shall be respected
by other members of the clan as well.
Every six months, Dukes/Duchesses will be replaced, though
only by the most worthy members. If someone has done extremely well within
the
position, they
we be kept on for another six months. A Duke/Duchess may step down from their
position at any time if they feel it is too much of a burden.
If at any time a Duke/Duchess is found to overstep there authority, they
will be punished with first being stripped of their title and
then given a 2 month probation period. They will also, after the probation
period, be considered as a newly appointed knight.
Baron/Baroness: This rank will be achieved only after being in the clan for a year, or by a promotion from the High Council.
Knights: This rank is only achievable after being in the clan for three months.
Commoners: This will be the status of every new member to the clan. This
status will be kept for 3 months at which time the member will become a Knight.
Commoner's who were at one time an apprentice will become a Knight after
2 months.
A Commoner that has violated a rule that does not constitute banning will
be given a warning, two warnings will put the member on a probation period.
Apprentice: This rank is only for those who are under the age of 20 when admitted to the clan. An apprentice will be given one tutor with whom must be on for them to join a clan game, and the tutor must also be in the game to keep watch on the apprentice. This status will be kept for one month, after which the apprentice will then become a commoner for the next 2 months.
Tutors: Each member of the clan must at one time be a tutor. Tutors will be responsible for the apprentice under them only in-so-much as taking account of the apprentice and making sure he/she does not endanger other members of the clan.
Probation: A member on probation will remain so for one month unless otherwise
told. Any member put on probation more than once will be kicked out of the
clan. A Duke/Duchess or one of the High Council will be a tutor for a member
on probation.
Members on probation will not be allowed in clan games without their tutor.
All probations will be listed in the clan forums, so check often.
A member will be put on probation for violating any rule which does not constitute
banning.
